Winter 2024/25 - Player Development Program
Inside Edge and Port Coquitlam Minor Hockey (PCMHA) combine to provide high-level hockey development for its members. IE will provide experienced, high-level tenured coaches to support the development of Poco's Minor hockey players, starting with the Fall Development Power Skating and Edge Control.
FALL POWER SKATING & EDGE CONTROL
The Power Skating Clinic offers an opportunity for the minor hockey player to improve their skating skills on a weekly basis. Through correction and repetition, this program provides comprehensive instruction on all aspects of skating. From basic skating posture and stride efficiency to lateral quickness and acceleration, this clinic will address all techniques that are required to play the game of hockey.
We are excited to be a part of the development stream of PCMHA to help take players to the next level.
GOALIE DEVELOPMENT
Under the design of our Pirate alumni, Austin Caktas, these sessions are for all age groups. Groups will be created based on skill level and experience. Those just trying it out for their first year or goalies with more technical experience will get better with this extra training. Austin has done our sessions for years and works with many of our Rep teams. His team of instructors can make improvements no matter the age of level of goalie looking to improve.
Areas of focus are mobility, positioning, proper save recovery, visual tracking, stick work, puck handling, and game situation awareness. Come on out and improve your goalie game. (U11 and U13 goalies registered will be able to join the Friday FORWARD and DEFENCE camp when needed at no extra charge)
ALL SESSIONS HAVE LIMITED SPOTS AVAILABLE. ONCE SESSIONS HAVE BEEN FILLED, A WAITLIST WILL BE CREATED.
